Hi
I use VLC player for video playback. Everytime I load on a subtitle to whatever movie it simply closes down. The playback goes just fine when I play a movie without subs.
Important to note that this goes on for all subtitles and movies, it's not just a single incident!

what do I need to try? Please help me!

...and how about other players? Do they crash, too? Have you installed vobsub (not needed for vlc though)? Have you tried re-installing VLC? Maybe you changed something in the vlc options, there is a lot you can do to stop it from working correctly...

Usually you just have to put the sub in the same directory as the film, they have to have the same name (apart from the extension), and when you open the film with vlc, it just opens/displays the sub automatically. Is that what you did? If not, try it this way and report back please.... :-)
