You have definite head this question before, but can´t really find a straight answer to this:

I have downloaded subtitles for a movie, but it appears that I get 2 subtitles.
Subtitle CD 1 and CD 2.

- Can I join these to 1 subtitle file with Subtitle Workshop?

If yes, please tell me how, because I have Subtitle Workshop, but don´t know how to do?

Super - the 2 subtitles are now 1 :)

But now there is another problem. I use vobsob to add the subtitle to my movie, but now I see no subtitle when playing the movie.

Usually I just open Vobsub, open the subtitle in Vobsob, copies the name from the movie and paste the name instead of the original subtitle name.

This used to work, but now it just don´t.  

What is the correct way of adding a subtitle to a movie?
- Yes, I also use VLC Media Player.

sorry but i don't understand your procedure. i usuallu don't open vobsub i just place subs and video in the same folder and give them the same name: ex. Video.srt and Video.avi and when i watch the film the subs appear.

Yes, I wasn´t patient right back there and i´m sorry for that...

It is me who thanks ;) The subtitle appears when following your procedure :P

But it seems to that the subtitles are a bit slow. They dosen´t really "catch up the movie" :S

Guess I can find out how to solve this problem by reading some of other peoples similar questions.

hello ,  i want to enquire after somthing
i wanted to have  (north and south )'s arabic and english subtitles but when i searched in the subscene search i found only the forth part of it althought it have 3 other parts so i dont know why there is only one part of it is translated and the rest of the movie does not have any transilations or subtitles

and i have requested about (jane eyre )movie which mad in 2006
its subtitles but i dont know how long does it take to have those subtitles

hi sebrina, first of all this wasn't the right place to ask, but since you were polite i'm going to reply to you.

unfortunately, when you request for subs the're no certainty that someone will upload them, because we don't offer a translation service, just a space for people to request what they need, hoping that someone can help them.

sometimes some of our users can decide to translate a few subs, but that's only up to them, and it isn't a rule... maybe in the future we'll be able to organise things so as to create a space for translators to offer their service to other users, who knows...

this should also answer your first question.

sebrina, I've thoroughly searched for Jane Eyre subs on the net, but I could not find anything. Unless someone transcribes/translates them, you're out of luck I'm afraid.

johnkeny is right, the subs for "north and south" are already there, all 4 parts, both in English and Arabic. You know there is a "search" button....? ;-)

for your questions you should search for a thread where the same thing has happened before and make a post there, but for subtitles requests there are specific threads, according to languages.

in any case, if users are polite, i always close an eye. what makes me mad are users who don't read and are arrogant or impatient, so when they make a post in the wrong place i delete their posts mwaaahahahahahaahahaaaah :)
